Renata Berkyová

Rena­ta Berky­ová stud­ied Romani Stud­ies at the Fac­ul­ty of Arts of Charles Uni­ver­si­ty. She is cur­rent­ly a PhD stu­dent at the Insti­tute of Eco­nom­ic and Social His­to­ry, Fac­ul­ty of Arts, Charles Uni­ver­si­ty. Her dis­ser­ta­tion focus­es on the per­cep­tion of the Holo­caust of Roma and Sin­ti in the Czech lands in the post-war peri­od until 1989. Her pub­li­ca­tions include a study on the com­pen­sa­tion of Roma sur­vivors under Law ²⁵⁵⁄₁₉₄₆ impris­oned in the camp at Lety u Písku. She is a mem­ber of the work­ing group for the cre­ation of the exhi­bi­tion of the Memo­r­i­al to the Holo­caust of Roma and Sin­ti in Bohemia at the Muse­um of Romani Cul­ture in Brno and is also a mem­ber of the edi­to­r­i­al board of the pro­fes­sion­al jour­nal of Romani stud­ies Romano džaniben. She is the co-author of the doc­u­men­tary LETY.
