UNRRA

The Unit­ed Nations Relief and Reha­bil­i­ta­tion Admin­is­tra­tion, or UNR­RA – oper­at­ed from 1943 to 1947 as an inter­na­tion­al relief orga­ni­za­tion for vic­tims of World War II under the con­trol of the Unit­ed Nations. It coor­di­nat­ed and pro­vid­ed assis­tance rang­ing from pro­vid­ing food, med­i­cine and raw mate­ri­als to rebuild­ing infra­struc­ture, and played a key role in repa­tri­at­ing dis­placed per­sons dur­ing and after the war.
