Plaveč

Plaveč – a vil­lage in the Stará Ľubovňa dis­trict in Slo­va­kia, where a labour camp oper­at­ed from the sum­mer of 1944 until the end of the year. In addi­tion to pris­on­ers of war, many Roma also par­tic­i­pat­ed in dig­ging trench­es and build­ing for­ti­fi­ca­tions for the defence of the Ger­man army.
