Bergen-Belsen

Bergen-Belsen – a con­cen­tra­tion camp estab­lished in 1943 in the vil­lage of Belsen near the Low­er Sax­on town of Bergen. By 1945, over 100,000 pris­on­ers, half of them Sovi­et pris­on­ers of war, had died of cold, star­va­tion and epi­dem­ic typhus.
